1) 3 holes: the cleat is mounted to the shoe using two of the three holes from a three hole mount
2) Direct Mount: the cleat is screwed directly to the sole of the shoe using the four screws on the outside of the clip
2) Direct Mount: the cleat is screwed directly to the sole of the shoe using the four screws on the outside of the clip
3) SPD: the cleat is screwed on the shoe by using the two machine screws in the bottom of the clip
